Investment strengthens operational resilience, supports sustainability goals and enhances long-term value for consumer brands
Arglass, a next-generation glass container manufacturer headquartered in Valdosta, Georgia, is now powering a portion of its operations with renewable energy generated by a new solar installation developed and financed by Cherry Street Energy, an Atlanta-based independent power provider.
The project represents Georgia's largest ground-mounted customer-sited tracking solar power system and reflects Arglass's commitment to advancing sustainable manufacturing through innovation, operational excellence and responsible energy management. Developed within the company's manufacturing campus, the approximately $10 million solar installation was fully financed by Cherry Street Energy.

The installation comprises more than 10,000 solar panels mounted on a tracker system that follows the sun throughout the day, maximizing energy production and helping power operations at Arglass's VF-1 furnace.

"Arglass is benefiting from that versatility by reimagining a portion of the company's land to reliably produce energy that will provide meaningful support for the facility's daytime operations."
The project was executed through a Solar Energy Procurement Agreement, under which Cherry Street Energy financed, developed, owns, operates and maintains the system. Through the agreement, Cherry Street will serve as Arglass's third-party energy provider for the next 30 years, delivering predictable and competitively priced renewable energy to support the company's operations.
The project was originally developed by Carrick-Williams Companies, a Chattanooga-based renewable energy developer, and acquired by Cherry Street Energy in 2025.
