Rules and Regulations

1.       The 32nd Fleet is a jealous fleet; you may not belong to any other Star Fleet Command (SFC) fleet/clan but her.

2.       When any 32nd member enters or leaves a room, salutes (<S>) are exchanged. In addition, the senior person present will say “Attention On Deck” (AOD) when an admiral enters a room and has greater rank than any already present.  [In the case where the senior person present is not immediately able (typing a reply to a question, speaking a reply via voice, or away from the keyboard), the first person to recognize the need may say AOD.]

3.       All members will belong to the fleet’s yahoo email group and the fleets forum group.

a.        The e-mail group is for announcements or requests of immediate concern to the whole fleet. It is not under any circumstances a discussion forum.  Arguments, discussions, excessive joking, and complaints are never appropriate and should be confined to the proper channels.

b.       The forum has many topical areas and members should confine communications to the appropriate area.

c.        You will use the Chain of Command (CoC) for official communications in the fleet.

d.       Requests, criticisms, compliments, and complaints should all be handled directly and privately on  Gamespy & voice chat or through direct email, not on the general fleet mail group, or Public Areas of GameSpy or any public voice chat.

e.        If a member is in doubt as to where to send or post a particular issue they should send it to the people who need to see it individually.

f.        All members will use, and be treated with, respect at all times on the communications systems.   Being abusive will not be tolerated.  Remember that this is a family fleet so all language should be appropriate for a family setting (members range from age 12 to 85).

g.       Always sign your emails with your 32nd call sign so that people know who is speaking.

4.       All members must maintain a proper uniform.

a.        The standard uniform consists of the fleet designation, one space, rank and squad designator (lower case), one space, and name. Example: 32nd cptk Officer.

b.       Members of the Top Brass have no squad designator and their rank is upper case.  Example: 32nd FAD Top Brass.

c.        Members who are Academy Trainers may add the "Academy Instructors Badge" (^) to their uniform after squad designation.  Example: 32nd cdrr^ Academy Trainer.

d.       Members who have earned the Gold Wings Award are eligible to represent the fleet in league play as a “Shadow of the 32nd“ and add “s” to the front of their uniform. Example: s32nd fadf Shadow.

e.        Members who are on "Reserve Status" will replace their rank with "res". Example: s32nd resb Reserve Officer.

f.        The cadets’ uniform is 32nd_rec_name till promoted  to cadet  then becomes 32nd_cdt_name

5.       You will hardly ever be ordered to do anything.  This is out of courtesy and respect for each other.  We role-play a military organization, but we will not be ordering you around all the time.  If you are ever given a Lawful Order (i.e. it does not contravene your human rights, violate International or local law, or violate these rules.) by a superior officer regardless of squad then you are expected to follow that order.  If the order is Lawful but you feel it is unfair you may appeal to your chain of command at your first opportunity but are still required to follow it.

6.       The Top Brass must approve the return of former members of the 32nd to the fleet.

7.      Officers will be moved to and from "Reserve Status" by their squad admiralty. When moving to "Reserve Status" an officer forfeits their current rank and when returned to "Active Status" will be given rank at the discretion of their squad admiralty not to exceed the rank forfeited. The awarding of the rank of Commander or above to individuals returning from "Reserve Status" also requires Top Brass approval. Squads may not exceed roster allowances when returning people to "Active Status."

8.       Any officer wishing to transfer from one squad to another must ask for and receive permission from the admiralty of both squads.

9.       Officers of the 32nd will be a member of one squad, and have one call sign. Multiple personalities need not apply.

10.  You will report immediately any member of your fleet who is in major violation of these rules or the Code of Conduct.  Anyone in minor violation you will politely remind of the rules or code.

11.  Have Fun.
